Rather an unusual one this – it’s a big band piece I wrote when I was working for Devon Music Service (DMEH) back in about 2014. I can’t recall why I wrote it – presumably for the Devon Youth Jazz Orchestra, but as far as I know it’s never been played, although it is printed and in their library. The original song from which it was taken was written by my good friend Dan Callow at OneLife Music who I’ve since done loads of work for.
The ‘improvised solos’ are rather quiet in the piece….!
