Triptych for Brass started out in life as a ‘symphonic’ work – and the first movement certainly reflects this. The second and third movements moved away from the ‘symphonic’ feel, and added some distinct contrasts to the work, making it much more of a fun concert item.
The work isn’t too difficult (once you get past the scary first movement), and would make a compelling piece to add to your concert programme.
